HOW TO ENTER: You are entered into the Sweepstakes for the next day’s drawing when you make any purchase (excluding subscriptions for American Girl magazine), online at the American Girl Web site at www.americangirl.com, between February 25, 2002 and March 31, 2002. You will have the opportunity to opt out of the sweepstakes. Purchase will not increase your chance of winning. To enter without a purchase, click on the Sweepstakes button on the American Girl Homepage at www.americangirl.com. Click on the Official Rules button and then click on the link at the bottom of the page that says, "I accept the terms above and would like to enter." Verify your age by clicking on the appropriate button. Enter your name, complete address, phone number, and e-mail address. Limit one entry per day per entrant whether by purchase or non-purchase method. Entries, whether by purchase or non-purchase method, will not be rolled over from one drawing to the next. For the purposes of this promotion, an “entrant” shall consist of a person, family or household with a valid e-mail address. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person in whose name the e-mail account is registered. PRIZES: Three (3) Grand Prize winners will be selected at random for each day between February 25, 2002 and March 31, 2002. RANDOM DRAWINGS: Sweepstakes drawings to be held beginning February 26, 2002 and each day thereafter through April 1, 2002. A random drawing will be conducted each day, from among all eligible entries received the previous day between 12:01 a.m. Central Time and 11:59 p.m. Central Time, by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final in all matters relating to the sweepstakes promotion. Odds of winning the prize are dependent on the number of entries received each day.
ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is open to legal U.S. residents, except Florida residents and residents of Puerto Rico, who are age 18 or older on or before February 25, 2002. Employees of Pleasant Company, Mattel, Inc., American Girl Place, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, distributors, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies, printing and mailing companies, judging organization and immediate family and household members of each are not eligible to win. Void in Florida and Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws apply.
GENERAL: By entering this Sweepstakes, participants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Sweepstakes Rules and the decisions of the judges. Winners will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity release (except where prohibited) which must be signed, notarized and returned to the Sponsor within 14 days of attempted delivery of same. Noncompliance with this condition will result in forfeiture of the prize and an alternate winner being selected. Winners will be notified by mail. If prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and will be awarded to an alternate winner. All taxes on the prize will be the responsibility of the winner. MISCELLANEOUS: Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, or suspend this Sweepstakes should any computer virus or other technical difficulty beyond the control of the Sponsor corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the Sweepstakes and randomly award the prizes from among all eligible entries to date. Participants must provide a valid e-mail address.
